How often you clean your makeup brushes depends on three factors:
1.how often you use them
If you’re a makeup artist or just someone who wears a significant amount of makeup regularly,cleaning after each use.For most people,wash your brushes once a week, and use a brush cleaner in between to keep them clean and sanitized.
2.Your skin type
If you have sensitive skin or acne-prone skin, please do it twice weekly or even after each use .
3.The brushes used with powders,liquids or cream:
(1)For brushes used with powders,such as blush brush,bronzer,contour brush:1-2times a week
(2)For brushes used with liquids or creams:Daily(Foundation brush,concealer brush and eyeshadow brush)
What Should I use to wash my makeup brush?
Baby shampoos are widely used to clean brushes and they work really well ,especially for cleaning natural fiber brushes.
Ivory soap takes liquid makeup off brushes quite well
Dish soap and olive oil are great for deep cleaning makeup sponges and beauty blenders to quickly emulsify oil-based foundations and concealers.
Makeup brush cleansers specifically made for cleaning makeup brushes.
How to clean you makeup brushes?
1.Wet the bristles with lukewarm water.
2.Dip each brush into a bowl of gentle shampoo or soap and rub gently with fingers to get a good lather for a few minutes.Avoid getting water above the handle of the brush, which can loosen the glue over time and eventually lead to shedding bristles and ultimately, a ruined brush.
3.Rinse the bristles.
4.Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel.
5.Reshape the brush head.
6.Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of a counter, thereby allowing it to dry in the correct shape.
